Objective
The student is knowledgeable of the central malalignments of ankle, foot and toes, problems and biomechanical abnormalities with their aetiology as well as is able to describe their differential diagnoses and rehabilitation. The student understands the significance of functional and structural mechanisms in the lower extremity problem aetiology. The student manages the principles of taping.
The student is able to apply the possibilities of joint mobilization, therapeutic exercise, and taping in advancing ankle and foot function. The student is able to create individual exercise plans to promote and equalize the client’s lower extremity functions. The student is able to assess the impact of the rehabilitation on the problems covered by the study period.
The student is aware of the most common lower extremity injuries that are treated orthopedically. The student is knowledgeable of the central causes, symptoms, evaluation and treatment methods of the orthopaedic and surgical problems and understands the meaning of podiatry in the support of surgical treatment. The student is knowledgeable of the most common surgical treatments of ankle and foot injuries and malalignments.
The student is able to describe the most common imaging methods and indicators. The student understands the basic principles of lower extremity imaging and findings.
The student is aware of the symptoms, basic models of clinical examination and neurological treatment, prevention and current rehabilitation work of the key neurological illnesses existing in our country.
