After the course student understands supply chains as a whole and what process, material and money flows means in SCM. What Lean and Agile methods means product/market/customer focused environments. What are the principle management methods and operational tasks in SCM:

Supply chain strategies in product/market/customer focused business environments.
Lean and Agile methods in SCM, choose and implementations.
Management of SCMs, power and responsibilities.
Information, network and human resource manament in SCM.
Risk management.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student is be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s central concepts, models and is able to utilize the most common tools. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement in some areas. The student knows the course concepts and models well and is able to justify their decisions. The student is able to apply their knowledge in new situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise and areas requiring further development.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. The student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts, models and tools. The student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply the knowledge in new situations. The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the development of his/her own expertise.
