In addition, it includes a short history of timber building in Finland as well as an overview on the environmental impacts and circular economy potential of timber. It discusses the obstacles behind timber building not being mainstream in Finland. The idea is to open up for students the framework of modern industrial scale timber building whether it comes to the relevant terminology, processes or general level know-how.
