Objective
The students are able to study independently as part of multicultural study groups, act responsibly and commit to the educational community and their studies in social services. The students are able to set learning goals related to language and contents of the studies, plan their study and career paths, observe the progress of their studies, and evaluate what they have learned. They are introduced to Transversal Skills as part of working competences. The students have sufficient marketing and generic working life skills also in Finnish, which enables them to work as professionals in the field of social services.
Content
Awareness on generic skills, professional skills and language skills related with social services and social pedagogy. Conscious development of work and identification of learning needs for continued education. Anti-racism and anti-discrimination as part of career planning. Evaluation of professional knowledge in the social field and use of Transversal Skills. Partnerships between education and working life. Simple Finnish vocabulary and phrases used in career planning and professional development.
