Objective

Upon completion of the course, the student will know how to:
- Justify the importance of diverse and multi-faceted client competence in care and services of older people and their development
- Apply their expertise in multiculturalism, diversity of sexual orientation and gender identity and disabilities in client work and the development of services
- Assess multi-faceted ageing and the differences in the older people as users of care of older people services
- Apply the innovation process in the development of a wide variety of services for the older people

- Act in accordance to the ethical principles of care of older people and equality

- Analyse and carry out their practice in accordance to the ethical principles of care of older people and equality

The student knows how to:
- Critically evaluate their knowledge of ageing in the older people of different cultures, LGBTI people and persons with disabilities in their practice
- Critically evaluate as they advance the status and needs of the older people of different cultures, LGBTI people and persons with disabilities as users of services
- Critically evaluate innovation competences in the development of services while creating new practices
- Critically evaluate the implementation of the ethical principles of care of older people and equality in their own practice
