• is familiar with the basics of design thinking and knows the differences and similarities between different design theories and methods
• can demonstrate the role of design thinking in design work
• has a basic understanding of the criticism towards design thinking

• can analyse the philosophy of design thinking and compare different design theories and methods
• is able to apply design thinking in their design work
• can evaluate the challenges of design thinking and possible future trends
