The student will know how to use structural systems in different buildings and executions.
The student will know typical wood and concrete structures and standards of dry and wet spaces, as well as know how to use the various structures in architectural planning and design.
The student will know the outdoor and indoor forces which affect the load-bearing structures. The student will be able to design the load-bearing structures as a part of architectural idea. The student will know the basics of dimensioning and the joints of typical frame structures.
The student will be able to tell the difference between built-in-place and prefabricated buildings.
