Objective

On completion of the course the student can 
- explain the methods and phases of earth construction as well as the materials used 
- describe principles of planning and supervising earth construction 
- produce a soil construction work plan 
- describe and plan the blasting stages, the most common explosives and detonators 
- explain basics of vibration in rock and soil due to blasting and its impact to surroundings

- explain the soil and rock construction work methods, phases and materials used 
- explain rock crushing methods 
- comply with the planning and implementation of the relevant safety and environmental regulations 
- to describe the work of construction work planning and control principles 
- to draw up a work plan of the soil construction 
- explain and plan open and tunnel excavation 
- describe and plan the extraction stages, the most common explosives and detonator 
- explain usual rock bolting methods 
- explain basics of vibration in rock and soil due to blasting and its impact to surroundings
