Objective

The student understands the main sources and formation mechanisms of atmospheric pollutants, and can describe their harmful climatic and health effects. The student knows the principles of measuring pollution and control emissions. The student knows air pollution related legislation.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student is able to define or describe the subject matter related to the concepts and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the associated basic quantitative comparisons and calculations.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to apply, calculate, change and choose the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as to complete and produce the necessary information for the calculations.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The students is able to categorize, collect, combine and generalize the concepts related to the matter and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the basic quantitative calculations as well as derive and rearrange given basic information.

The student is able to define or describe the subject matter related to the concepts and phenomena qualitatively and calculate the associated basic quantitative comparisons and calculations.

Prerequisites

The student masters the basics of fluid mechanics and knows the most common equations related to fluid dynamics. The student knows the basics of thermodynamics.
