Objective

The students are familiar with key theories of audiovisual storytelling and expression. They can do a small analysis of an audiovisual work. The students know key features of storytelling. They deepen their understanding of fiction screenwriting, documentary script writing and modes of journalistic writing. The students understand the meaning of personal observation, background research and source criticism. They can compose ideas and develop content to different programs. The students know the principles of process writing and the importance of a working schedule. They can work both independently and as a part of a group. They can use dramaturgical tools to analyze texts written by others and give constructive feedback. They can receive feedback and use it to enhance their own writing work. The students are both familiar with and can work in different professional roles in content production. They know the key intellectual property rights and related contracts in their field.
