Objective
On completion of the course the student can
- recognize the social role and importance of volunteering in the industry
- plan, organize and develop volunteering at events
- lead volunteering
- understand the legal and safety aspects of volunteering
- activate the team collaboratively
- take different operators into account in their work, and make decisions in unforeseen circumstances
- implement the cultural manager’s ethical principles in their work

- Voluntary activities promoting active citizenship
- Legislation, taxation and security in volunteering
- Volunteering process: identification of needs, recruitment, engagement, induction, skill requirements, feedback, reward
- Practical volunteering and its evaluation

The student is able to identify the social role and significance of volunteering in the industry and to repeat the volunteering process. They are able to work as part of the event's volunteer community. The student is able to describe volunteering based on their own experience.

They take an active role in the event's volunteer community. The student is able to evaluate and develop volunteering based on their own experience and theoretical knowledge.

They are able to build a comprehensive volunteering process. Qualifications
Admitted Introduction to Public Event Management course (5 ECTS) or corresponding competences.
