Objective

Student can appreciate importance of game design as a part of game production process. He/she understands principles of game design and role of game designer. Student is able to critically analyze game ideas. He/she is aware of monetization mechanisms.

Student can evaluate games from different perspectives. He is aware of game design principles and role of game designer. He has satisfactory communication skills in English.

Student can design interesting game ideas. He is well aware of game design principles and role of game designer. He has good communication skills in English.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Student can design high class game ideas, and can analyze them deeply. He is able to combine design and monetization perspectives. He is well aware of game design principles and role of game designer. He has excellent communication skills in English.

Student can evaluate games from different perspectives. He is aware of game design principles and role of game designer. He can communicate in English.

Qualifications

First year studies (Orientation to information and communication technology) or comparable knowledge.

Further information

Course includes a game design project that may be utilized in other courses. Communication (English) is worth of 2 study credits.
