Objective

The student
• is able to identify the main movements and the development of European art
• is able to gather information on art and visual culture and can analyse and critically evaluate this information
• understands the relation and the interaction between the past and the contemporary art and visual culture
• knows the main movements of the history of visual culture of media.

Content

• The main movements and actors of the European art
• The relation of art to the history of social phenomena and the general history of culture and ideas
• The history and development of visual media

The student has partially achieved the objectives of the course and has passed the assignments.
