Objective
The student can describe the most common neurological disorders that affect functional ability as well as the basics of prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of neurological disorders. The student can form a therapeutic relationship with the rehabilitee while considering the most common neuropsychological disorders connected to his/her functional ability and interaction. The student can describe how to utilise neuropsychological information in promoting the rehabilitation of the rehabilitee. The student can assess the functional ability of a severely disabled client who needs special support and his/her close community, as well as identifies changes in functional ability.
Content
Typical neurological disorders that alter functional ability as well as the basics of treatment and rehabilitation
Forming a therapeutic relationship that allows participation of the rehabilitee in case of a difficulty disabled client and his/her close community
Rehabilitee as an active learner with consideration to typical neuropsychological special disorders
Assessment of the rehabilitee's functional ability and the planning of physiotherapy in cooperation with the rehabilitee and the client’s relatives as well as a multidisciplinary network

Student knows the basics of assessment and promotion of functioning in physiotherapy. Student knows the basics of body functions and structures. Student knows the basics of physiotherapy in musculoskeletal disorders. Student has accomplished minimum of 6 credits of clinical practice in physiotherapy.
