Objective

Students know the basic concepts of biomechanics and the basics of biomechanical evaluation. Students are able to describe different types of measurements and to evaluate the reliability of measurements. They are able to measure joint movements and master the principles of muscle strength assessment. Students are able to describe the basic principles and stages of walking and during the different stages of joint and muscle activity. They are able to evaluate walking visually by observing and using different tools. Students recognize common changes in walking and they are familiar with general challenges in the movement of aid users.
