Objective

The student is able to describe the structure of a nerve cell, formation, and conduction of a nerve impulse in a cell and to the next cell. The student explains the development of nervous system, the basic structure of the nervous system and core functions of different parts of the nervous system. The student describes in detail the central nerves of a lower extremity, their locations and innervations of the muscle groups and skin areas. The student describes the composition of blood and the physiological function. The student explains the core structures and functions of the circulatory system, lymphatic system, and respiratory system.
