Career Planning for Musician (5 cr)

Objective

The student is able to work interactively in seminars and actively engages with expert lecturers, deepening their understanding of professional musicianship. The student is able to utilize modern marketing medias in their profession and knows the professional ethics of a musician. The student acquires networking skills, becomes acquainted with both the Finnish and international music scene, and increases their connections to the industry. The student understands the importance of an entrepreneurial attitude in working life. The student develops their communication skills and is able to reflect on their own work and that of others, as well as express themselves both verbally and in writing.

In order to receive an approved grade, the student:
- Knows the professional image and ethics of a musician and is able to utilize today's marketing channels as a professional musician
- Is able to produce a professional portfolio that will be presented at a seminar.
