Objective

The student is able to articulate the role of a music producer in different music productions. The student is able to specify the producer's tasks, as well as the responsibilities and requirements related to it. The student is able to specify the technical and artistic features of music productions of different genres and eras. The student understands the historical development of music technology and production and is able to relate it to contemporary ways of working. The student is able to complete assignments according to schedule. The student is able to implement basic music productions.

Content

Seminar work and completing set assignments both independently and in groups. The historical development, contents and work practices of music production. The roles, work and career opportunities of the producer. Giving presentations and making production exercises. The presentation of one’s own productions to the group.

Location and time

Tuition begins 6.9. and ends 13.12. Weekly lessons every wednesday 14.45-17.00 in Control room A and other studio spaces when required.
Weekly assignments are completed during the lessons and handed in by the next day at 12.00
