Objective

The Students
• recognise the importance of structured and clear communication in terms of professional competence and interaction
• master key written and oral communication skills of work life
• are able to communicate in Finnish in the interactive situations in their field
• are able to assess which communication methods and channels and different types of texts are appropriate in different situations and are able to make related choices
• want to develop their communication and information management skills and abilities to participate in the modern communication environment
• are able to use ICT that is central to the studies at University of Applied Sciences and work life
• understand the basics of project work

Content

• communication in work communities and online environments
• written reports and the basics of research communication; use of sources and critical evaluation
• goal-oriented oral presentations and stage confidence
• giving, receiving, and utilizing feedback
• basics of project work
• utilizing the media as a communication channel
