Learning outcomes

The student can plan and implement logically advancing learning processes and apply learner-oriented, encouraging methods in the one-to-one tuition of their own instrument. The student can motivate the learner and provide multi-faceted feedback. The student can support the learner’s learning through planning of repertoire and is able to select teaching materials of a suitable level. The student can reflect their own learning process and activities as a teacher in their ePortfolio.

Content

Various forms of feedback, ergonomics, qualifications, wages and contractual practices of music education in Finland, individual and collaborative reflection, observation of teaching and learning, ePortfolio, one-to-one instrumental teaching practice.

Prerequisites

The student can plan learner-oriented and flexible one-to-one tuition and utilize typical teaching methods of music education and the one-to-one tuition of their own instrument. The student is able to describe the basic ethical principles of teaching and to consider the diversity of learning processes. The student is able to articulate their observations of student performance, identify various aspects affecting musical interaction, and apply these factors to their teaching.

Location and time

Tuition of pedagogical and instrumental lectures is on Wednesday between 13-16.00.

Opintojakson kokonaispistemäärästä 5op
- opetusharjoittelu 3 op
- instrumenttiluennot ja kaikille yhteiset luennot 2 op

Content scheduling

Opintojakso koostuu kolmesta eri kokonaisuudesta:
INSTRUMENTTILUENNOT ovat keskiviikkoiltapäivisin välillä 13-16, opettajien Google -drivessä ilmoittamien aikataulujen mukaan. (linkki Driveen työtilan etusivulla)
Opintojakson instrumenttiluentoihin kuuluu 3 observointitapahtumaa, joiden ohjeistuksesta, tehtävistä ja ajoituksesta vastaa instrumenttiluentojen opettaja/opettajat.

OPETUSHARJOITTELU keskiviikkoisin kunkin instrumenttipedagogiikasta vastaavan opettajan tiedotuksen mukaisesti. Harjoittelu suoritetaan kahden oppilaan kanssa 45 min./13 viikkoa. Opetusharjoittelun ohjausta 7x45 min. + 15min. palaute lukukauden aikana tai vastaava määrä.

KAIKILLE YHTEISET LUENNOT: alla olevina keskiviikkoina klo 13-15.30, luokka AS411. Luentoaiheet pävitetään kevään 2022 aikana.

Continuous assessment (based on teacher training lessons with two students, diary, planning of lessons, observational tasks), learning assignments (written reflection), attendance (or completing defined assignments) in pedagogical and instrumental lectures
