Objective

On completion of the course the student
- is familiar with the structure of the public cultural sector, its operators and decision-making processes
- is familiar with the main cultural political strategies and their importance
- understands the possibilities of cooperation with various branches of the public sector, which support culture
- knows the main theories as well as the practical multidisciplinary networks in the field of cultural policy
- recognizes the possibilities of advocacy in cultural politics

The student knows the structures, organisations and decision-making processes of public cultural organizations. The student becomes familiar with the main cultural political strategies and possibilities of cooperation with different branches of the public sector that support culture. They are able to obtain information from the cultural statistical sources.

The student can analyze the main cultural political strategies and possibilities of cooperation with different branches of the public sector that support culture. They are able to obtain information from the cultural statistical sources. The student can plan advocacy activities related to political decision-making.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student knows the structures, organisations and decision-making processes of public cultural organizations, and can situate their own political thinking into the framework of cultural policy. The student can analyze the main cultural political strategies and can design possibilities of cooperation with different branches of the public sector that support culture. They are able to obtain information from the cultural statistical sources and to utilize the information to argue their own standpoint. The student can plan advocacy activities related to political decision-making.
