Objective

On completion of the course the student can prepare construction schedules and task plans and apply them in site supervision.

Planning, supervising and managing scheduling tasks
Master schedule, construction phase schedules, task schedules and weekly schedules

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student can explain:
- phases of construction scheduling
- principles of scheduling and control techniques
- different presentation formats for schedules
- principles of task planning
- the role of task planning in production control.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student can
- prepare schedules for different stages of a project based on amount calculation using a Gantt chart as well as a line of balance
- describe the connections between different schedules
- prepare schedules based on building components, work phases and man-hour use
- create a task plan and use it to supervise production.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

the student can
