Objective

The student:
1) Learns to know oneself as a communicator
2) Recognizes the importance of both presence and body language in interaction
3) Develops one’s own skills in expressing and performing
4) Recognizes the importance of interaction in expression
5) Internally recognizes the improvisation rules concerning approving ideas and developing them
6) Recognizes opportunities how to influence interaction through the rules of improvisation.

Content

This course focuses on the self-expression of the participants and developing spontaneous interaction. The students will learn improvisation as a model for a positive interaction and develop their risk taking skills in collaboration. Each individual works on building an approving attitude that seeks new possibilities in one’s own action.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

1) The student is present and participates in the group activities
2) The student completes the assignments with a passing grade and meets the deadlines.
3) The student recognizes knowledge related to the concepts and the operating principles of the learning outcomes

Assessment criteria, good (3)

1) The student is present and takes an active role in the group activities
2) The student completes the assignments in a good level and meets the deadlines. He or she also shows commitment in the way tasks are done.
3) The student indicates knowledge related to the concepts and the operating principles of the learning outcomes

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

1) The student is present and participates in the contributing way in the group activities
2) The student completes the assignments with an excellent grade and meets the deadlines.
3) The student indicates knowledge related to the concepts and the operating principles of the learning outcomes. Student is able to apply theory to the practice.
