Objective
After completing student representative training and having been an active member of an advisory council, a committee or other body for at least one term (one or two calendar years):
- The student representative has participated in meetings of an advisory council, committee or other body
- The student representative is familiar with Metropolia's organisational structure and the student's opportunities to influence
- The student representative is able to promote equality and equity at Metropolia through their activities.
- The student representative has contributed to the cooperation between the advisory council, committee or other body and Metropolia and the student union METKA
Advisory Council:
- The student representative has participated in advisory council section meetings organised by Student Union METKA
- The student representative has familiarized themself with the curriculum of their degree and its needs for updating
- The student representative has acted as a student voice and brought student messages to meetings
- The student representative has networked with representatives of working life
Legal Protection Committee or Board of Examiners
- The student representative is familiar with the practices of the body
- The student representative is familiar with Metropolia's guidelines and rules on the basis of which the body’s decisions are made.

- The student representative is familiar with the governance practices of a large organisation.
- The student representative learns about decision-making on a wide range of issues
- The student representative learns about strategic thinking
- The student representative learns about the financing of the university of applied sciences

Qualifications
The student has participated in METKA's student representative training
Assessment criteria, approved/failed
- Student keeps a record of their activities and their time use. The student records the hours spent on the activity and includes a short description of how the hours were spent.
- In the written assignments, the student should reflect on their own competences in relation to the learning objectives.
- The assignments are returned to Moodle. METKA will award or reject the credits. Credits will be awarded according to the time spent on the activity. According to ECTS criteria, 1 credit corresponds to 27 hours of student work.
- The student's study guide marks the credits with a grade of Approved / Incomplete.
