Objective

The student gets a general view of transportation systems, and learns the basic concepts of transportation systems. He/she knows the basic control systems of different transportations systems, and the basic principles of pricing.

Students are introduced to the various modes of transport technology and used in connection with the goods and for unit handling technology, able to choose the different transport suitable means of transport and equipment, and is able to determine their requirements for loading and unloading locations and identify the various modes of the specific features of transportation.

Students are able to apply the knowledge economy business of logistics services and transport processes in the money, cost structures, budgeting, and are able to implement cost control.

Content

The importance of transportation in logistic chains and as part of delivery in enterprises, different transportation forms and their basic concepts, handling of loads, basic structures of costs in transportation.

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student is be able to identify, define and use the course subject area’s central concepts, models and is able to utilize the most common tools. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement in some areas. The student knows the course concepts and models well and is able to justify their decisions. The student is able to apply their knowledge in new situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise and areas requiring further development.

The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. The student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts, models and tools. The student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply the knowledge in new situations. The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the development of his/her own expertise.
