Objective

Upon completion of the study module the student is able to edit, move, package, and republish media content across different channels as well as understands the theory and practice associated with these processes. The student is familiar with different distribution technologies and systems, understands the role and exploitation of metadata and is able to apply these in projects. The student masters IP based data transfer and its use in media distribution as well as understands the data security requirements and risks associated with these. The student understands the operation of the media field, the various players and their roles as well as different revenue models.

The student recognizes different distribution and publishing techniques and understands the special requirements these have for content.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student is able to identify different distribution and publishing technologies and is able to define the processes involved in the publication and the technologies needed. The student has the capacity to apply their learning in professional situations. The student understands the roles and requirements of different distribution technologies and is able to analyze their own expertise in media technology.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student shows excellent skills in mastering the concepts and models explored during the study module. The student is able to analyze in a fluent and grounded manner and is able to present practical development measures. The student is well equipped to apply their learning in different situations such as leisure, studies and work life. The student is able to analyze their expertise regarding the publishing and distribution processes of multi-channel media and the development of their own expertise.
