Learning outcomes of the course
Student knows the therminology of cadastral surveying. He/ she
can describe the special nature of real estate as an asset. He/she knows the
basics on real estate economy and real estate appraisal. Also he/she knows the principles of land development. The course lays the foundation to the way of chatered cadastral surveyor.

No previous knowledge required.
Therminology of cadastral surveying. History of cadastral system in Finland.
Modern cadastran information system. Land market and deeds.
The student is able to describe the cadastral system and knows the core terms.
The student is able to describe the cadastral system, knows the core terms and is able to describe the origins of cadastral system on a non-specific level.
The student is able to describe the problems concerning public trustability relating to cadastral systems. He or she is able to perform simple real estate assessments. THe student is able to describe the impact of cadastral systems on the usability of real estates. He or she is able to perform simple calculations relating to common land.
