Objective

After the course the students have achieved competence, which is capable of producing, and post-processed photos, short video clips, sound files, and dtp pages. They understand the production process and the necessary technologies, principles and concepts, as well as how to use development tools to solve the tasks. The students have adopted the principles of team work, and are able to work as part of a small development team.

Content

- Digital media production process and tools
- The intended use of file formats and compression methods
- Proper use of digital camera and video camera
- Recording and editing digital audio
- Photo- and video-editing and post-processing
- Basics of desk top publishing and storing files in pdf format
- Graphic design
- Digital press

This course week's theme starts with physics which deals with the same topic as the other exercises during the week. The students are given information about the digital media production process and tools. During the two last weeks of this period there will be a project work related to video and sound, as well as digital printing. Learning is supported, if necessary, by other methods, such as e-learning.

Students have achieved the objectives of the course well, even though the knowledge and skills is one of the areas for improvement. The students are able to define the very subject matter of the course concepts and models and are able to make an informed analysis. Students have the ability to apply what they have learned in leisure, study and work situations. The students understand the importance of expertise in the field of information technology and are able analyze their own expertise.

Students have achieved the objectives of the course excellently. The students knows excellently the course subject matter concepts and models. The students are able to analyze fluently and correctly and to make concrete development measures. The students are well prepared to apply their leisure, study and work situations. The students are able to analyze the ICT industry expertise and its own experts to grow.
