Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to describe, analyze and propose a solution to the practical challenge in a company, in government or in another work setting. The student will learn to propose a solution using good existing practices and to implement the proposal. The student will report on the objectives of the assignment, the current state analysis, the implementation plan, the available good practices (theory), the solution and evaluation of the solution.

Content

Describe, analyze, solve, and evaluate a challenge / problem utilizing the basics theories and tools related to the topic. Problem solving.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

The student has achieved the course objectives fairly. The student will be able to identify, define and use the central concepts and models in course subject area and is able to utilize the most common tools. The student understands the criteria and principles of the expertise development.

Assessment criteria, good (3)

The student has achieved the course objectives well, even though the knowledge and skills need improvement in some areas. The student knows the course concepts and models well and is able to justify the decisions. The student is able to apply the knowledge in new situations. The student understands the importance of expertise in the field of business and is able to analyze his/her own expertise and areas requiring further development.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. The students masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts, models and tools. The student is able to make justified and fluent analysis and to present concrete development measures. The student is well prepared to apply the knowledge in new situations. The student is able to analyze the business sector expertise and the evolvement of his/her own expertise.
