Objective
Students know how to find out patient’s background information and anamnesis as well as report the patient case to their clinical practice supervisor, peer students and other health care professionals concisely. They can analyse patient’s symptoms, choose and implement tests for differential diagnosis as well as demonstrate clinical reasoning. Students are capable of independent decision-making and can make an osteopathic diagnosis independently while being aware of their limits of competence. Students are capable of creative problem solving and development of work methods. They can assess their work and competence as well as change the treatment plan if so required and make decisions concerning treatment in unexpected situations. Students are capable of acquiring, handling and assessing knowledge related to their work in a critical way. They can act as part of the multiprofessional team. Students are able to create personal connections in the work environment and act as experts of their field in these networks. They embrace multicultural cooperation.
Content
Interview, observation and examination routines. Differential diagnosis. Osteopathic diagnosis and treatment. Education on therapeutic exercises. External clinical practice: Physiatric ward, Osteopath’s clinic or rehabilitation centers.

Student workload
