Objective
Students progresses with patient’s interview, examination differential diagnosis and treatment of patients. They use various osteopathic manual treatment techniques and demonstrate competence in safe and effective osteopathic treatment using osteopathic principles. They are able to prioritize diverse treatment techniques and consider time limitations. Students observe peer students’ work with patients in small groups and appreciate sharing knowledge. Students participate in patient’s osteopathic diagnostics together with their supervising teacher and peer students. They demonstrate improved integration of knowledge and skill in their work.They know how to assess and develop their competence and learning methods. Students know how to communicate and interact in the work environment. Students are able to make a written referral for patient’s further treatment. Students plan and implement marketing, sales and take part in various client service activities.They are capable of taking responsibility for learning of their group and sharing the acquired knowledge.
Content
Interview, observation and examination routines. Differential diagnosis. Osteopathic diagnosis and treatment. Written referral for further treatment. Working at the reception. Marketing, sales and client service skills. Multi professional problem solving.
Materials
Student is using all previous courses material; anatomy, physiology, functional anatomy, pathophysiology, and so on.
Student reads Clinical Handbook in HyMy osteopaattiopiskelijat in OMA workspace.
