Objective
Students will deepen their know-how on health technology, guidance, ethical value base and expertise.
Students can evaluate their development according to evidence-based practices.
Students are future-oriented and ready to develop client-oriented nursing.
Content
• Challenges of health technology and the future in nursing
• Evidence-based nursing
• The ethical value base of nursing
• The expertise of a nurse
• The support of empowerment in patient guidance
Location and time
Implementation starts with orientation on 10.8. Lectures are held on week 33-34 and OSCEs on week 39. Schedules are preliminary and changes may occur.

Teaching methods
Implementation includes two parts;
1) evidence based practices and clinical nursing skills including contact teaching (lectures), independent studying ja preparation for OSCE skill exam and OSCE skill exam = 4 cr
2) healthcare technology = 1 cr

Implementation does not including clinical practice in healthcare settings
Exam schedules
Student must study independently, practice clinical skills in TAITOPRO and write a report on TAITOPRO practices before participating in the OSCE skill exam. TAITOPRO report must include at least 3 articles with evidence based practices for clinical nursing skills. In addition to the report, student films a short video from TAITOPRO practicing. Report and video are mandatory pre-assignments for OSCE skill exams and these must completed before skill exams! More information is given at the orientation lecture (mandatory participation).
OSCE skill exams are held on week 39. Evaluation is based on grading 3-5 = PASS, 1-2 = FAILED.
Re-takes for failed skill exams will be announced during the implementation.
