Objective

Students are capable of examining the restrictions of movement of the spine and limbs. They can implement various techniques improving the restriction of movement of joints and modify them when needed. Students are able to combine exercises learned in Therapeutic education and guidance skills with their treatment of patients. They can provide education on exercises promoting the position of the body for patients suffering from prolonged musculoskeletal symptoms. Students recognise the contraindications of the above-mentioned techniques and know how to explain the effect mechanism of the techniques and exercises.Students understand the significance of self-care to health and know how to justify it as part of the osteopathic treatment. They can utilise the structure and methods of problem solving in their education and guidance. Students are able to utilise verbal, visual and tactile education. They are able to justify their guidance and education from the anatomical and physiological aspects.
