Objective
Students

Materials
The course literature options will be discussed at the Orientation. Students can also use the material they choose according to the subject on the course. The learning environment is Moodle, where students are guided at the course orientation. Moodle contains the objectives and contents of the study ( incl. peri-operative, emergency care and intensive care), more detailed literature and other material demonstrated by the teacher. In addition, Moodle platform has exercises for theoretical studying, independent exercises and exams, additional material on topics, etc.
In English version Perioperative Moodle is combined with ICU and Emergency care.

Expert lectures during the theoretical instruction of the course. After the theoretical instruction, the students complete the Development of Nurse Expertise - Clinical Practice (12,5 ECTS credits). Before the practice laboratory workshops and simulations held are calculated in practice credits eg.all together 15 cr.

No optional methods. Attendance is obliged. Orientation is compulsory. Theory 80%, labs and simulation 100%.
Student workload
The scope of the course is 15 cr. This is 405 hours of student work, divided into contact lessons and independent studying. Self-study guidance is given at orientation together with independent assignments.
Further information
This is an advanced course in Degree Nursing program. It is situated for the last academic year. Completion of the course requires basic studies and basic clinical practices completed priorly. Development of Nurse Expertise - Clinical Practice can not be started until all basic clinical practices have been successfully completed. Mandatory presence in course Orientation.

Independent assignments during the course are mandatory and may have an impact on the total grade of the course.
Because the course grade in formed from many different exams, raising the exam grade is not possible. Failed exam re-test time is agreed with the teacher separately.
