Objective
Students
- are familiar with the basics of promotion of sexual and reproductive health
- understand the phases of normal pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period and their follow-up
- understand the significance of illness and hospitalization to the child, young person and family as well as can support and promote the welfare of families with children
- can plan, implement and evaluate nursing of children and young persons as well as evaluate their own actions critically.

Sexual and reproductive health
Phases of pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period
Growth and development of children and young people
Needs analysis of children and young people and major assistive methods of nursing
Family-oriented nursing process of acutely and chronically ill children and young persons
Supporting and providing patient education to children, young persons and their families, supporting parenthood
Forms and methods of family nursing
