Objective
Students
- can explain premises of health promotion in public health nurses’ work.
- understand questions related to ethics and legal aspects when applying health promotion methods and vaccinations
- can apply evidence-based health promotion methods to promote the health of individuals, families, groups, communities and population in a client-oriented way
- know how to implement and evaluate health communication and develop their health communication competence
- are familiar with the connection between international and social changes to environment and health as well as take into consideration various factors promoting and threatening health
- can apply national and international rules and regulations to their work preventing and treating communicable diseases
- can plan, implement and evaluate the vaccination of clients of all ages, travellers and immigrants as well as apply vaccination programme individually
- rely their vaccinating on evidence-based knowledge and can evaluate and develop their vaccination competence.
