    Learning outcomes of the course
    Students will examine ageing through multidisciplinary gerontological knowledge and utilise this research-oriented knowledge in their actions. They will be able to describe the changes caused by ageing and their significance in the lives of the elderly. Students will also view ageing as a distinctive phase of life and old people as active participants in life.
    Course contents
    Key fields of gerontology (educational, cultural, psychological, social, health and geriatrics). Concepts and perceptions of old age. Theories of ageing. Successful ageing. Life course, participation and agency. Experiential ageing.
