Objective

Students describe factors in relation to the function and movement of lower limbs as well as the functional limitations they cause. Students are familiar with the basic elements of foot orthoses including their function and structure. Students are capable of measuring and fabricating foot orthoses. Students learn to fit the products and provide education and instruction on their use to the client. Students compare the functional starting point with the end-product from professional viewpoints.

•Fabrication process and techniques.
•Materials, components and factors affecting their selection.
•Fitting foot orthoses, evaluation, instructions on their use.
