Objective

Conservation of ceramics is a workshop course combining theory and practice. It places heavy focus to understanding the material, ceramics, its manufacture and properties. On the practical part each student will get individual assignments which will cover all typical phases of conservation of ceramics, such as old restorations, cleaning, bonding, cap-filling and retouching. As this is the first workshop course we’ll place heavy focus to safety issues and learn how to work safely.
