Objective
After the course, the students can:
• utilize the measurements of the female body when making patterns for trousers and skirts.
• note the differences between the body types when making patterns for trousers and skirts.
• shape skirts and trousers after a sample.
• note the methods and processes of the clothing industry when producing a garment.
• apply knowledge when identifying a high quality garment.
• use skills in problem solving, co-operation, communication skills in the production team, in the development process of the product and the related decision making process.
Content
The communal processes of industrially manufacturing a garment. The measuring points and measurements needed for pattern making for women’s trousers and skirts. Pattern making and shaping well-fitting trousers and skirts using a given pattern making system. Making high-quality products as teamwork.
