Objective

Student can operate in an international and multicultural environment in a natural way and understand the cultural starting points of both their partners and clients. The student understands the international operating environment of the arts manager in his/her own field. He/she also knows the international cultural actors in Finland and can find information concerning international actors.
The student is familiar with the most important forms of international project funding and knows the current focuses in cultural policy and is able to utilize this knowledge in international projects. The student plans his/her study path from the point of view of developing skills related to internationalization.

The student knows what are the most important international organizations and networks related to cultural management. The student can search for information on international operators and funding programs. The student understands the importance of internationality and is able to reflect on it in relation to his/her studies and future plans. The student knows the cultural bases and personal skills required in international settings.

The student is familiar with the most important international organizations and networks related to cultural management. The student knows where to search for information on international operators and funding programs to support his/her work. The student is able to create an internationalization plan as part of studies. The student is familiar with the cultural bases and personal skills required in international settings.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

The student is able to utilize various international connections and networks in professional contexts. The student is familiar with the decision making processes of international operators and sponsors and is able to utilize this knowledge in his/her work. The student is able to create a strategy on international relations to support professional development. He/she is able to work naturally in international settings. The student is able to gather information from various viewpoints and analyze the cultural bases required in working across national boundaries. The student also possesses personal skills required when working in various environments.
