Objective

Learning goals After having completed this course or attained an equivalent competence level, the student can: • Act entrepreneurially, • Understand the key concepts of customer-oriented business idea development, • Assess and select relevant customer segments for a business idea • Utilize interview methods to gain information from customers • Assess and use gathered customer information for business idea development

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)

When the implementation type of the course is CONTACT, ONLINE or BLENDED it is required that the student is present during those teaching hours that are marked in the study schedule. If you are absent more than 25 %, your grade will be lowered by one. If you are absent more than 50 %, the course is failed. Able to • take responsibility for their tasks • understand the key concepts of customer segmentation, value proposition and testing business idea

Assessment criteria, good (3)

In addition to the previous, able to • identify and describe one or more customer segments • analyze customers using Value Proposition Canvas • implement viable testing plan for business idea

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

In addition to the previous, able to • analyze the gathered customer information and use it to develop the business idea

Further information

This course is designed by 3AMK (3UAS) and especially meant for the international students of Haaga-Helia, Laurea and Metropolia (3AMK). However, it is possible to attend even though you study in Finnish-speaking degree program or want to participate through open UAS. There will be teachers from all three UAS. The coordinating UAS is Haaga-Helia and the learning platform is Haaga-Helia's Moodle. If you don't already have Haaga-Helia's user ID, you will get one after you have been admitted into the course.
