Objective

The course gives a general view on what studying in Industrial Management is, and also of what kind of work a graduate of Industrial Management might do. The student knows the study environment and the field of Industrial Management as well as the central guidelines and rules of Metropolia. The student knows the structure of the curriculum and knows hos to plan the studies.

After completing the basic artificial intelligence course, the student knows how to use artificial intelligence responsibly and ethically in learning, being responsible for the content of their own work and following good scientific practice.

After completing the basic information security course, the student will be able to handle information appropriately, identify the most common information security threats and be prepared to meet the requirements of working life in terms of information security skills.

Content

- Orientation to studies, orientation evening.
- Study planning with the study supervisor.
- Understanding the concepts underlying AI and the correct context of use.
- Basic knowledge and skills in information security and data protection.
