Objective
The student applies the previously acquired skills in meeting the client and making an aid assessment. The student understands the problem of sitting in a wheelchair and identifies the risks associated with it. The student is aware of how sitting can be affected. The student understands the mechanism of pressure ulcers and masters means to diminish the risks of wheelchair users’ pressure ulcers. The student is able to use digital measuring devices and interpret the data produced by them at a basic level. The student masters wheelchair maintenance procedures at a basic level. The student applies the acquired knowledge base in aid assessments, instructions for use and functionality assessment, as well as in maintenance and repair work.
