Objective

Students know the factors and legislation related to health and comfort in buildings.
Students know how to order IAQ investigations and communicate their results.
Students know the measurement methods of common contaminants and can interpret the results.

Content

Sisäympäristön fysiologiset olosuhteet ja lainsäädäntö (1 op).
-Lämpöolot, akustiikka ja valaistus.
-Terveydensuojelulaki ja -asetus, työturvallisuus- ja työterveydenhuoltolainsäädäntö

Kemialliset epäpuhtaudet (1,5 op).
-Peruskäsitteet. Rakennuksen kemialliset epäpuhtaudet: esiintyminen, viitearvot
-Sisäilman kemiallisten epäpuhtauksien tutkimusmenetelmät.
-Haitta-aineiden (asbesti, PAH-yhdisteet, PCB) syntymekanismit, esiintyminen, tutkimusmenetelmät

Mikrobit (1,5 op). Tavanomaiset ja vaurioon viittaavat mikrobit ja niiden esiintyminen rakennuksissa. Mikrobien kasvuun vaikuttavat tekijät, kosteuden rooli . Asumisterveysasetuksen ja sen soveltamisohjeen mikrobeja koskevat osuudet. Näytteenotto (pinta, ilma, materiaali).

Rakenteiden kosteusvauriot ja kuntotutkimusmenetelmät (0,5 op)

Tutkimusprosessin hallinta. Tutkimustulosten esittäminen ja tiedottaminen (riskiviestintä) (0,5 op)
