Objective
The student is able to:
- apply evidence based nursing and all relevant nursing principles in the care of the emergency patient in-hospital
- provide triage and secondary survey to an emergency patient
- apply previously gained information on the treatment and observation of the most common patient groups encountered in the emergency environment
- recognize an organ donor patient and is aware of the organ donor practices in Finland
- use the most common and relevant immobilization practices and is able to produce the most common casts
- apply his reporting and scribing techniques the emergency environment
- assess the nursing care of the patient and organize the further hospital treatment multiprofessionally
- assess the guidance and support needs of the emergency patient
- provide adequate clinical observation and nursing care from the emergency patient point of view

- immobilization techniques and producing casts

Qualifications
Minimum of 60 credits of clinical nursing studies.
The nursing skills needed in the ER and high acuity units.
The student and tutor teacher go through other recommended studies in HOPS discussions.
