Objective

-organize and implement the oral care of an elderly together with the elderly, his/her family and/or nursing staff
-analyze and implement oral health care for patients of different ages at the Metropolia’s oral hygiene teaching clinic
- are able to take into account the psychological and social factors of the patient when planning a treatment, implementing treatment and planning maintenance care
- recognize the need for pain relief and is able to use topical and local anesthetics
- are able to document the course of patient care into the patient information system
