Objective

Student
- manage the basic processes of good occupational health care practices in the planning, implementation and evaluation of public health nursing maintaining and promoting the health of working age individuals and work communities in the occupational health environment
- know how to apply effective work methods of health promotion to maintain and promote work and functional capacity
- are capable of working as experts of public health nursing in multi-actor work groups
- know how to evaluate and develop the quality and effectiveness of occupational health care in multiprofessional collaboration

Content

- procedures and collaboration in occupational health care
- workplace survey processes and principal work methods related to them to identify and evaluate the effects of work burden and resources
- health examinations of working age persons
- data privacy, guidance and counselling, digital remote services in occupational health care
- supporting functional capacity and rehabilitation services
- ergonomics and occupational psychology
- medical studies: occupational medicine

Qualifications

The student may choose professional studies of public health nursing after successfully completing the theoretical requirements of professional nursing studies as well as all the clinical practices in medical and surgical operating environments, unless otherwise agreed in the student's PSP.
