Objective
On completion of the course, the student will be familiar with the principles of automation and its applications.
The student will be familiar with common automation components and their operation principles.
The student will know the sensors used to measure quantities, measurement technology, and principles of signal processing.
The student will be familiar with the principles of automatic control engineering.

The student knows the most common automation applications components, and their operation principles.
The student knows the basics of signal processing in quantity measures.
The student is able to apply automatic control engineering in simple systems.
The student is able to choose sensors and connect them.
The student recognizes the need of signal processing and is able to process a signal.

The student is able to apply simple automation and measurement systems.
The student can utilize automatic control engineering for controlling and adjusting simple measurement systems.
The student knows the sensors, measuring equipment and their wiring needed in the applications.
The student is able to choose sensors and measurement instruments, and commission them.
The student is able to apply signal processing.
