Objective
The student is able to name the human phases of development. The student is able to act in emergency situations, and recognize the action plans of emergency health care. The students is able to encounter the client professionally at the oral care teaching clinic when observing a peer student working. S/he knows the basics of defining oral health and how to apply oral health care documentation. S/he is able to explain the effect of asepsis (patients, personal, caring environment and instrument) on oral health care. The student is able to implement oral health care hygiene practices at the caring environment of an oral health care hygiene teaching clinic. S/he is able to apply the principles of four-hand-working.

• Developmental psychology, the client's phases of development, resources and life situation
• First aid
• Professional encounter with the client, and observing a peer student's work in oral health care caring situation
• Characteristics of a healthy mouth, naming and numbering of dentition
• Oral health care document practices and the basics of defining oral health
• Principles of four-hand-working
• Caring environment of an oral health care teaching clinic
• Aseptic, oral health care hygiene practices
